Pylones leverages the Sinch Mailjet onboarding to send their transactional and marketing emails

Pylones is a French company specialized in creating and selling gifts. With its “Objects creator” tagline, the company has been reinterpreting common objects with new colored twists, with the goal to re-enchant daily life. Pylones sends one newsletter per week to its French subscribers to offer them discounts, and introduce the new products. Pylones also uses sends its customers transactional emails, to validate an account creation, confirm an online purchase…

The challenge

Pylones wasn’t fully happy with the emailing solution they were using in the past. Following a relocation of that solution offices, the Pylones teams felt that the customer relationship wasn’t up to what it was before, especially when it came to reactivity. Considering the low level of customer service and the outdated platform of their former emailing solution (lack of intuitiveness, over complicated segmentation…), the price Pylones was paying them wasn’t justified.

Furthermore, GDPR compliancy is one of the main focuses for Pylones, especially since Germany is the second most important market for the company. The previous emailing solution they were using asked for an additional cost to benefit from data protection, which, to Pylones, was outrageous. When the time of the contract renewal came, Pylones looked for a new emailing service that would be able to get them clear and fast answers when needed, and guarantee the proper safety and compliance of their data.

The solution

Pylones chose Sinch Mailjet for its quick answers and involvement with the company needs, after explaining the challenges they were facing.

The Sinch Mailjet onboarding has been the determining factor as to why Pylones chose the solution. The company could rely on the expertise of emailing specialists dedicated to their issues, with swift answers and solution for their teams. Since the very beginning of this collaboration, Pylones has benefited from the advice from a dedicated technical account manager, who answers their questions regarding everything Sinch Mailjet related: account setup, contact list hygiene, advanced features… Sinch Mailjet gives Pylones teams fast and clear answers on the daily.

The Pylones teams even benefited from a special onboarding to explain them how to get the most out of the Sinch Mailjet Email Editor, the contact list management system and the segmentation. During this live presentation, they could directly address their questions and get the answers they needed. This helped Pylones to make the Sinch Mailjet tools their own very quickly.

And last but not least, the fact that Sinch Mailjet is fully GDPR compliant with an ISO 27001 certification (making Sinch Mailjet the very first company in the world to get an AFNOR certification for full respect of the GDPR principles) was another key factor. Pylones knows that Sinch Mailjet guarantees the highest levels of security and confidentiality for their data, without any extra cost.

The vision

Pylones now sends both transactional and marketing emails, and is very satisfied with the Sinch Mailjet features. In the future, the Pylones teams will focus more on segmentation, to get the most of their customers’ data, and send more personalized communications, depending of their past purchases to upsell and cross-sell their products thanks to emailing. Pylones also wants to leverage emailing automation to support the loyalty program they are currently setting up.

Since the very beginnings of our collaboration with Mailjet, I’ve been able to talk about our challenges and need with our main point of contact. Immediately, they he told me how we could solve these issues, and how the onboarding would process. Being a SMB, we sometimes lack the in-house resources and knowledge about emailing. That’s why it’s so important for us to have a technical account manager who knows our needs, who knows emailing, and who’s able to give us advice on how to proceed.
