Last Tuesday, AOL communicated about a change in their DMARC policy, following the one done by Yahoo Mail. With these updates, the Yahoo Mail and AOL Mail accounts will be safer against phishing attempts. In the continuity of what SPF and DKIM provide, DMARC acts like an additional layer of security, protecting the identity of the email senders.
With DMARC, people are not able to send bulk emails using ESPs or web mails (instead of proper email addresses attached to the DNS).
As a Mailjet user, you do not have to worry about this. You can set up DMARC on our SMTP servers. Should you want to do this, please contact our support team which will help you in this process. Thanks to DMARC, your identity will be more protected and you will be more easily identified as a legitimate email sender.
