Our History
Even during its creation, Mailjet was already very simple and efficient. The whole project took off in less than a month!
At the end of 2010, Julien Tartarin and Wilfried Durand meet in Nantes, France, their city of origin. They chat over drinks. Julien has an idea in mind: mutualise email sending. Their competences are complementary: they promise each other to do something together.
A few days pass by and Wilfried goes to a Web event in Toulon, southern France. There, he meets Thibaud Elzière, a person who love good ideas. Enthusiasm, first drafts : off it went! The team is being finalized: Nicolas Chaunu who was working with Wilfried, and Quentin Nickmans, Thibaud's partner, join the project.
We pull all-nighters and the product takes shape. A bêta version is launched after Le Web 2010. The first version is launched in February 2011. One year after, Mailjet gather more thant 15 collaborators and sends tenths of millions a week!

CPO, CTO : that's two titles, which means two jobs! On one side, Julien makes sure that Mailjet can fly anywhere in world. On the other, he takes care of the security, in order to guarantee a safe flight, no matter the conditions.
Wilfried Durand
Founder & Chief Web Officer
Wilfried is the coordinator for the globality of Mailjet: from the visibile to the invisible. He manages the technical developments, analyzes what can be analyzed, and monitors the progress of the ongoing improvements.
Thibaud Elzière
Founder & Strategy and product advisor
Thibaud founded Fotolia, a successful stock photo marketplace. He serves as an Advisor for our business strategy, as well as our partnerships.
Nicolas Chaunu
Founder & Strategy advisor and evangelist
Nicolas founded Tuto.com, a promising video tutorial marketplace. He is an advisor and works on partnerships.
